I just figure: it is exactly 2 months since I wrote Good Bye posting on LinkedIn?. And it seems I’m ready for the next step: Good bye reading LinkedIn?
Today I scrolled through my LinkedIn Stream again – and after some pages I realized: there was not a single post / article that brought any value to me. And I don’t mean that the useful articles were in the minority. There was not a single useful article.
The whole “x reacted on s.th.” is so completely irrelevant. It drowns the feed in noise. And if I’m honest to myself – this didn’t happen the first time. So I decided: let’s cut another “social network” and try to completely circumvent the feed from now on.
The good side is: A decision has been made that even saves some time!
The downside is, I feel a bit of a lack of IT related contact/news. Yet, I didn’t find them on LinkedIn before either. Maybe I’ll try to find some on Mastodon? But that would mean creating a second Mastodon account just for IT / work related stuff. Do I really, REALLY want this? Or shouldn’t I just stick to news sources like heise.de? I mean do I really need more?
Anyways. Good Bye LinkedIn. It’s been a nice time with you.
